Welcome to Central School of Dance, home of Baby Ballerinas!
2013 is going to be a very exciting year for the staff and students with many exciting events. Mr. Trevor and his team of workers have been tirelessly renovating the second level of our studio during the holiday break and it is almost at completion stage. Please bear with us as the final touches are installed. We are very lucky to have purpose built, air conditioned studios for our students to work in. We would like to offer a very warm welcome to Miss Jacinta and Miss Carly who will be joining the teaching team.
We are requesting that when parking that parents please reverse into parking spaces. This will be a safer alternative when leaving the studio. Please also be aware that the speed limit is 10km along the driveway.
Ballet Boot Camp was a huge success with students learning new techniques and strategies to advance their ballet technique. All students worked with enthusiasm and were a delight to teach.
Lockers: With the pending completion of the upstairs change rooms we need students to identify (place a sticker on the locker with name and grade) their lockers. Senior students will be allocated ½ lockers and younger grades the ¼ lockers.
Private Lessons: Due to the fact that there are no free time slots at this point in time, students can exchange private lessons with another student if they cannot attend their lesson. Dancers would need to notify the office of the change prior to the lesson and ensure that they have their own music.
Glassboard: The studio uses the Glassboard app for notifications. Download the app, enter your email to register and use the group invitation code: isdsm. This app is not for sending messages or having a chat!
Facebook: The studio operates a group called “Baby Ballerinas & Co”. This group is closed. When applying, ensure your “facebook name” can easily be identified by our database.
Wed Sports Afternoon: CSoD will be running a bus from Hunter School of Performing Arts at Broadmeadow each Wed at 1 pm for the sports afternoon at the studio. Cost is $10 per week. This cost will cover the bus and one hour forty-five minutes of class work.
A friendly reminder that all term fees are due Week 2. If you have not yet received your invoice please see a member of staff in the office. Please pay on time to receive the early payment discount.
